Not the news we wanted...
Just a quick update because I am completely exhausted. We got the results of the echo and unfortunately it was not the news we were hoping for. The echo showed just about the same amount of fluid leaking from the middle of the valve. So, we now wait some more. The surgeon comes back tomorrow and I am sure we will see him then. We were told that Reid's case will be reviewed with the cardiologist team, surgical team, and some PICU doctors during their Wednesday conference to see what the next step is. Sigh.I just have to trust that the "laid back" guy you see in the picture from the previous post is going to sail right on through this, it's just going to take a little longer.

Cheri, I will totally be praying and checking back frequently. So sorry about the news but I have no doubt all will be well with your little man!!
This is Joyce. I'm so sorry the news is not want you wanted today. I remember that sinking feeling when you so desparately want to hear the good news yet it is just not meant to be at that moment. Looking at sweet, handsome Reid I'm sure he will be stronger than ever in no time. In the short term we will be praying for the little guy.
Cheri, I can imagine how difficult this is for you and Toby. You guys are the best parents for little Reid (and Luke). God gave you this little guy for a special reason, and no doubt he is in His hands and being cared for by The Great Physician. I'm praying.

I am so sorry about the news, we will continue praying for sweet baby Reid and being faithful that the Lord will carry you all through this..
Reid is such a cool little guy, he WILL sail through, no matter what. In the mean time, since he is being so well looked after, make sure you and Toby look after yourselves, and try to get some rest while you are waiting... Not easy I know, but essential.
