He looks like a big boy now...so sweet with his little backpack!!! Look at that smile on his face too...he's going to have so much fun there, Cheri! ((((((big hugs))))))
LOVE these! Love the shoes especially! Did Reid ever where those orthodics that they recommend for kids with low tone? Just curious. Our PT has recommended them for Joaquin.
Hi Jennifer, we didn't do the orthodics but we almost did...can you believe I cannot even recall why we were contemplating them, I think he was turning in or maybe it was out...yikes, I am no help what-so-ever :). But, I know our PT often recommends them as well! Joaquin is standing while holding onto things much sooner than Reid did though so he may need the extra support.
Thanks Cheri! I think we're going ahead with them just to help him learn proper foot placement before any trouble starts. It might be overkill but it can't hurt him so we will give them a try. I'll have to post about it when we get them!
I am blessed to be married to an incredibly loving and kindhearted man, Toby, and I am a mom to 2 boys...I am in the chapter of my life that involves baseball games, homework, playdates, diapers, and dump trucks. It is simply the best! With every part of my being I love being "Mom" and have learned the depth at which my heart can go when our youngest son was born with Down syndrome. This blog was created to connect with other families on this same journey that an extra 21st chromosome presents. Join me as I journal about Down syndrome, life, and raising Reid and his big brother Luke.
